This glamorous mask provides the perfect disguise for the winter ball! Cut the basic shape from thin cardboard, using the template supplied. Cover it with a fluorescent fabric, cut 1cm (1/2inch) larger all round, clipping the edges as shown and also clipping through the eyeholes. Fold the borders over and stick them down on the reverse side.

For the stick, cover a piece of garden cane with a strip of ribbon, and glue it in place. Wind fine tinsel or gold thread around it, and glue the ends down.

Cut a piece of gold foil paper to fit the back of the mask. Glue it down, first attaching the stick on one side.

Decorate the front of the mask with sequins, feathers and pieces cut from a gold doily. If you can find only white ones in your local shops, spray a white
one with gold paint
